1. Be kind and respectful
Treat every member the way you'd hope to be treated at the dinner table on night one. Members come from all over the world, of different ages, backgrounds, beliefs and travel budgets. Disagree politely, assume good intent, and let people join the conversation.
2. Keep conversations appropriate
CCC is for cruise friendship, companionship and community — not dating. Meaningful personal relationships sometimes develop naturally, and that's fine, but you must respect the purpose of the platform and other members' boundaries.
Not permitted anywhere on the Club:
- sexually explicit language, images or suggestions
- unwanted romantic or sexual advances
- hateful, discriminatory or demeaning content of any kind
- violent, graphic or otherwise inappropriate content
3. Be who you say you are
Fake profiles and impersonation are not permitted. Use a genuine, recent photo of yourself and describe yourself honestly. Don't claim experience, identity, circumstances or intentions that aren't real, and don't create additional accounts to get around a block or a moderation decision.
4. Be clear about your intentions
Say what you're looking for — a dining companion, someone to share a shore excursion with, a travel companion for a future cruise, advice about a ship, or simply cruise conversation. Clarity avoids awkwardness and helps everyone find the right people.
5. Respect boundaries
Never:
- keep contacting someone who has asked you to stop, or who hasn't replied
- pressure anyone to meet, to travel, or to change their plans
- pressure anyone to move the conversation off the platform
- pressure anyone to share accommodation or a cabin
- harass, bully, intimidate or shame another member
- share another member's photos, messages or personal information without their permission
"No thanks" is a complete answer, and declining a connection request needs no explanation.
6. Put safety first
Take your time getting to know someone. Meet first in public areas onboard or ashore. Keep control of your own passport, travel documents, money and cards. Make your own independent booking and payment decisions, tell someone you trust where you're going, and trust your instincts — if something feels off, step back and tell us.
7. No scams, solicitation or pressure
Never send money to another member. Requests for money, loans, gift cards, cryptocurrency, "investment opportunities", bank details or card numbers are scams. Report them immediately — you'll be helping the whole community.
The Club is also not a place for advertising, recruiting, affiliate links, multi-level marketing or any other commercial solicitation of members.
8. Cabin sharing is a personal decision
Some members choose to share accommodation after getting to know each other. That is entirely a private decision between those members. CCC does not arrange, vet, guarantee or take responsibility for accommodation-sharing arrangements, and nobody should ever be pressured into one.
9. Use the tools available to you
You control who can reach you. Adjust your privacy and messaging settings, decline connection requests freely, and use Block to stop contact immediately — the other member isn't told. Use Report whenever something concerns you: fake profiles, harassment, inappropriate content, scams or money requests, unwanted romantic or sexual behaviour, discrimination, safety concerns, spam or anything else. Reporter identities are not revealed to the reported member.
10. Content moderation
Our moderators review reports and may remove content, issue a warning, restrict messaging, suspend or remove a member. Serious breaches — scams, harassment, hate, threats, impersonation or anything that puts members at risk — can result in immediate removal without warning. Decisions are made under these guidelines and our Terms & Conditions.
11. A note on verification
Profile verification is not yet available, and when it arrives it will never be an endorsement or a guarantee of another member's safety, honesty or suitability. Whatever badges a profile carries, your own judgement and these guidelines remain your best protection.
